Population of St. Benedict is 207.

Trading area of 4,000.  The trading area of the hotel includes the towns of St. Benedict, Pilger, Middle Lake, Yellow Creek, Tway, Crystal Springs and Birch Hills.

Elevators in the neighbouring towns of Middle Lake and Pilger closed recently.  As a result of farmers needing to truck their grain to other distribution points, it has increased business at the bar.

The local tire dealer has the second highest retail implement tire sales in the Province.

St. Benedict Credit Union currently has $12 million in assets.

The community is very active in hockey and curling, and offers the the only hockey rink in a 40 km radius with the exception of Wakaw.

Children are bused to school in Middle Lake.  It has a new school K-12.
