Baby Grand Piano as explained by piano expert John Koelle.

Baby Grand Piano is a general term for a smaller size piano.  Usually they are under 5’8” and definitely less than 6’ in length.  Many people choose a baby grand because of space constraints.  Others want the look of a grand without all of the expense.

Decorators often find them an attractive option.  A baby grand is also the choice of many pianists because it allows them to have the same feel as a grand action.

Since the baby grand and grand action offer much greater repetition than an upright piano baby grands offer an attractive option.
