SECURE-A-BAR®
SECURE-A-BAR™ is a specially designed basement
window security bar manufactured by SECURE-A-DOOR® Manufacturing Inc.
Basement window bars are only effective if they have the ability to be
locked, therefore, they can not be removed from the window frame. Most
basement window bars on the market today have locking mechanisms built
into the bar itself, or require a padlock to ensure the security bar
remains in the basement window frame, and inaccessible. Most of these
same basement window bars are held in place by 1½" screws, screwed into
the basement window casing. Therefore, although the basement window
security bars are locked, they can still be easily kicked out.
SECURE-A-BAR™ basement security bars were
designed with optimal safety in mind. Firstly, our basement window
security bars are built on the same unique concept as our
SECURE-A-DOOR® product.
In the event of a fire, a person's sense of
judgment is impaired by the adrenaline, making it difficult to
remember life-critical details such as where the keys are to the
basement security bar padlocks or built-in security window bar
locks. This is why SECURE-A-DOOR® Manufacturing Inc. has designed a
unique method of locking our basement window security bars without a
"traditional" locking system. Our security bars can be removed from
any basement window within seconds, with no thinking required -
NO KEYS REQUIRED.
SECURE-A-DOOR® also provides an "extended
absence" locking bar that is economical, yet provides an
impenetrable safety mechanism for doors not protected by our 3 point
locking system.
