BLACK BEAR HUNTING -----Only 2 Tags left for 2001
Our bear hunts are during late May-early June or late August-late September. The bear average 200lbs(85KG) up to about 500lbs(200kg). Although most of the bears are black in color: we do get around thirty percent brown colored bears.
We provide the accomodations, an active and maintained bait, a tree stand, GUIDE, preparation for a taxidermist, and freezing facilities for the meat and hide. We will include the use of a boat and motor if the hunter wants to fish. Meals are available at an extra cost. You are welcome to bring your own stand.
A typical hunt begins about 8:00 AM and lasts as long as you want. We recommend that the hunter spends as much time as possible on the stand. Most of the time there is more than one bear coming to the bait. The hunter can then decide which one to shoot. Perhaps wait for a color phase or a larger animal. The guide will be available by radio communication or will check on the hunter at prearranged times. Once a bear is taken, pictures are done, the bear is skinned and put in the freezer. The hunt is essentially over and the guide is done with that hunter. Further arrangements can be made for fishing, bird hunting or more photography. Hunter orange is required during fall hunts. Also-bring your safety strap.
The price for 5 days and 6 nights is: $1200.00 US Dollars (2002 -$1400.00)
---based on more than one person.
---a single person hunt would cost more .
