COLOUR LABORATORY TEST PERFORMANCE

Tests performed by AMEC Laboratories, Nanaimo, B.C., Canada.

Compressive Strength

3 days............................... 11 - MPA - 1595 PSI
7 days............................... 18 - MPA - 2610 PSI
28 days............................. 22 - MPA - 3190 PSI

Tensile Bond strength

21 days............................ 1.03 - MPA - 149 PSI

  • Estimated 97% cohesive failure / 3% bond interface failure.
  • A thin layer of the topping material remained stuck to the apoxy on the steel plate after the load test (involving approximately 97% of the surface area). The remainder of this material remained stuck to the concrete panel.
