I
was always picked to be the banker when playing Monopoly as a kid. Once
I realized my fascination for playing with numbers, I studied accounting
at the University of British Columbia. After being born, raised, educated
and trained in Vancouver, I headed to the more relaxed pace of Vancouver
Island in 1983 and joined the current firm as a partner in 1985.
The part I like best about being a Chartered Accountant is helping other
business owners in their business decisions and tax-saving strategies.
If I can be of assistance, my electronic mail address is richard@fladergreene.com
Terry
Greene has been a partner with Flader & Greene since 1985 and in that
time the fim has grown from one employee one typewriter and no computers
to ten employees with computers on every desk. Terry's interest has been
small business and personal tax since he articled with Coopers & Lybrand
in Saskatoon in 1977. Airplanes, scuba diving and field hockey have always
been a big part of Terry's life but lately they have been given way to
the challenges and excitement of his new daughter, Alexandria, who will
turn two in April. Tax season babies have been a tradition at Flader &
Greene since three of Richard's four children also arrived at this time
of year. Family life with a two year old in addition to two teenagers (Geoff
17 & Caitlin 13) proves to be very interesting. The major tax season
change this year is that Terry's wife, Corie has started working for Flader
& Greene after enrolling in the CGA program. Terry's primary areas
of practice are in personal tax, estate tax, small business accounting
and consulting and computer assistance to small business. To send me a

If you
had told me a few years ago that I would be working in a Chartered Accountant's
office and working towards my C.A. I would have laughed. The last thing
I wanted to be doing was following my father's footsteps. However, a lot
can change in just a few years. In less than two years, I have married
a beautiful woman, together we have purchased a house, taken in a dog and
just begun to start a family. If you ask me what the most enjoyable part
of my job is at Flader & Greene, it wouldn't be the long hours during
the tax season, but it would be helping small business. To send me a message:
