Beautiful view of the hills. The Val Marie is right by a proposed National Park, which is expected to go through in July of this year. The park already brings thousands of visitors to the area each year, but expectations are high that Federal promotion will increase these numbers drastically. |
| Although only one room has a full bathroom, each room provides its guests with a wash basin, television and necessities for making coffee and tea. | ![]() |

The entire building, including all guest rooms have been, or are in the process of being renovated. |
| Bar and Pool Table. The locals say that the pool table was brought into the original building sometime in the 1940's. The name on the table is Irving Kay Co. |

Good shot of the bar, the pool table and the brick partition which isolates the VLT's from the family dining area. |
| Hardwood dance floor and small
stage. Live entertainment is provided for guests and
locals alike to "kick up their heels". The prints on the walls are by the regionally well-known Bernie Brown. These are available for sale to the public on a consignment basis by the artist's Father. |

A bit dark for a
photo, but just right for a 'night on the town'. The natural wood and brick decor provide a cozy, rustic atmosphere where patrons feel instantly at home. |
| Stainless Steel fridge and Pepsi
cooler. The fridge was refurbished to new condition last fall. The Pepsi cooler is on lease from the distributor. |

The kitchen, which
has an 'open-door' policy, is very functional and
extremely clean. Jeff and Lynette believe, if the customer wants to come and watch their meal be prepared... they should be able to see what goes on. |
| Genuine 'home fries' are chipped
in the chipper on the cupboard by the window. Plenty of room for preparing meals and cleaning up afterwards. Solid hardwood butcher block can be seen on the right. |

Oh! and we can't
forget the VLT's... These machines generate enough revenue for the Hotel to pay one full time staff person's wages each month! |
