This process is environmentally friendly. Residue can be safely rinsed away. What we are dealing with here is Sodium Bicarbonate. (You read it right! Baking Soda).

Facts about stripping with Sodium Bicarbonate (Baking Soda).

  1. Virtually any painted surface can be stripped with soda.

  2. Soda does not cause warpage to any surface.

  3. Soda does not abrade metals. This means it will not destroy any of the factory details of vintage autos.

  4. Soda does not affect chrome or glass.

  5. Autos can be stripped to bare metal without masking off. (Saves time)

  6. Soda is perfect for removing anti-fouling paint from boats.

  7. Soda can remove powder coating.

  8. Soda is perfect for stripping paint from aircraft parts and panels.

  9. Rock walls, brick, stone, oily driveways, paint on concrete can all be stripped with soda.

  10. Soda will actually clean magnesium, aluminum and chrome.

  11. Soda raises the PH level of the part being stripped and along with its rust inhibitors it will actually deter flash rusting.

  12. Soda stripping is fast and considered the best method compared to the other options of paint removal.

  13. Soda is a paint and coatings removal system. Light surface rusting can be removed by soda stripping but deep heavy rusted metals may require a more aggressive process.
