A brief history...
      In 1928 the cafe was purchased by Maurice and Priscilla (Ella) Butler.  When Mr. Butler first owned the cafe, there was a pool hall upstairs as well as a restaurant.  In later years the pool hall was moved downstairs, where a barber shop was also located.
      In the winter months of the 30's the area which is now the chip shop was used as a dance hall.  They also used this space for live traveling stage shows.
     In the following years there were many changes at the beach.  The cafe, however, has stayed in the family and still continues to serve home cooked meals.  Their specialty of Fish and Chips has been a family recipe since 1928.
      The family takes pride in serving their customers and hopes to continue doing so for many years to come.
