ABOUT THE COMMUNITY:

Lemberg, a town of 375, lies 17 km east of Abernethy on Hwy 22.  The Lemberg area is famous for it's rich farmlands and the nesting ground that is so popular for a variety of waterfowl.  These nesting grounds attract naturalists and hunters from all over the Province.  Take a trip through time to the Motherwell Homestead, west of town, or enjoy the beach and fishing at nearby Ketepwa and Mission Lakes.  The community also has a campground and picnic facilities.

During the summer there is plenty of ball action as Lemberg has a number of  minor ball players taking to the diamonds between May and June.  In the winter there is plenty of snowmobiling, curling, minor hockey, figure skating and rec hockey.  In November there is also the annual fall supper which draws a large crowd every year.

A new ethanol plant will be under construction soon and this will be a major economic boost to the town.
