The
Main Lodge, at the Silence of the North is set in the beautiful
Precambrian area of Sask. It is constructed of natural pine
and spruce logs from the area. This 3500 ft², two-storey building
boasts a 4-gable construction with three decks.
The
lodge houses a small convenience store, a popular restaurant and
kitchen, an art studio (with gallery), as well as 3 bedrooms, 3
bathrooms, a 30' x 20' living room,
and
an office and laundry.

Our
restaurant dining room has a maximum seating capacity of thirty
persons. We serve home cooked meals daily
with our fresh baked bread and cinnamon buns (a
real favourite).
You can order full meals, prepared by one of our
excellent cooks, just
the way you like it, or
just a snack and
a cup of fresh brewed coffee.

Walk
through the garden doors out onto our restaurant gardens, where
you can enjoy the same fine dining as inside, but with the
multitude and wonder of nature for
your entertainment.

Our
meals are prepared with the freshest meats, fish or poultry
available. We use only fresh, or fresh frozen vegetables,
and fresh herbs and spices.

Our store
has staples such as milk, butter and eggs, canned vegetables,
condiments such as mustard, ketchup, canned soup etc. and
the usual junk foods such as pop, chips, candies and candy bars.
We also
have fruit juice and a number of paper products.
We have
motor oil and gas.

We
also have a home baking table that we keep stocked with home made
bread, rolls, cookies, cakes and pastries.

We
have ten beautiful lake front all-log
cabins, set amid the tall trees of the wonderful mixed forest of
the shield area. All
have a spacious deck with a view of Mirond Lake.

Each
cabin has three separate bedrooms,
a fully equipped kitchen and a living room.
All
have electric refrigerators,
propane cook stoves, and heat.

All cabins have a kitchen, living room and three separate
bedrooms. Each
comes complete with a propane stove, an electric refrigerator,
cookware, dishes, and flatware.

The
cabins are comfortably furnished with a couch, or two; tables and
chairs; and beds in each bedroom. All are
log cabins
(including interior walls) and are set amongst
tall trees. They are cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
A
perfect spot to enjoy a week of solitude.

We
have 10 campsites set amid a very natural setting, all with power
and water. We have several non-power sites as well.
We
have a centrally located shower house, fully modern with
4 showers, 6 flush toilets with individual stalls, and 6
sinks.

Most of the sites are large enough
to accommodate fifth-wheel vehicles, and all sites have a fire pit
(with grill) and a picnic table. Wood is provided at no extra
charge.
There is fresh running water close
to each and every one!
