| At Koelle Piano we specialize in the restoration of Steinway and other fine pianos. The best piano to rebuild is one built before the depression in the 1930's when pianos were built in small piano factories by artisans who had meticulous standards, but little concern for the bottom line. These craftsmen would naturally age the hardwood by rotating it outside for 10 - 15 years. They used the finest quality wood veneers including African mahogany, walnut, and cherry. |
