LOCAL ATTRACTIONS:
Panorama and Fairmont Ski Hills are less than a half hour winter's drive away. Panorama is a world class hill with over 4,000 feet of vertical. Fairmont is a less challenging, but more family-fun oriented hill, where the lift ticket also gives free access to the thermal hot pools at the base.
Golf is everywhere.
The Bugaboo Glacier Park and it's spectacular glacier and walks are only a short drive / walk away.
Beautiful forest walks and cross-country ski trails are available without needing to use your car.
Hiking and Mountain Climbing in Provincial, and National Parks as well as local Forestry Areas are right at the doorstep. Kootenai Park is a short drive, or you may walk to it through the forest.
Lakes Windermere
and Columbia are ideal water-sport recreation areas. The former about five
minutes drive, the latter about a half hour away.
Great sport fishing is
available in the many streams and lakes within a short drive.
