for detailed information. National Urban Waybills National Urban bills are used for single parcels being shipped outside of your province. If both the origin from where you are shipping and the destination of where you are shipping to be urban centers, and the destination is outside of your province, then you would use a National Urban waybill. To identify if the origin and destinations are urban centers please refer to ‘Distinguishing between Rural and Urban Centers’. The ‘National Urban’ waybills are good for up to 10lbs or 1 cubic foot. If you parcel exceeds 10lbs or 1 cubic foot you would be required to purchase sufficient ‘National Weight/Cubic Foot Stickers’. Please refer to ‘National Weight/Cubic Foot Stickers’ for more information. National Rural Waybills National Rural bills are used for single parcels being shipped outside of your province. National and Provincial Weight/Cubic Foot Stickers These are purchased when your parcel exceeds the allowable weight or cubic foot measurement. National and Provincial ‘Weight/Cubic Foot Sticker’ are purchased in increments of 10lbs or 1 cubic foot. If your parcel is 0.1-10lbs over the allowable weight or 0.1 – 1 cubic foot over then you are required to purchase one National or Provincial Weight/Cubic Foot Sticker. If your parcel is 10.1-20lbs over the allowable weight or 1.1-2 cubic feet over then you are required to purchase two National or Provincial Weight/Cubic Foot Sticker and so on. Distinguishing between Rural and Urban Centres Rural Destinations and Origins To identify a rural destination or Origin simply look at the destinations postal code. If the second digit in the postal code is 0 then it is a rural destination. Do the same to identify a rural origin. For example: X0A 1A1 is a rural postal code because the second digit is 0. Urban Destinations and Origins To identify an urban destination or origin simply look at the postal code. If the second digit in the postal code is anything else but 0 then it is an urban destination. Do the same to identify an urban origin. For example X1A 1A1 is an urban postal code because the second digit is 1. Parcel Pickup Once you have completed filling out your waybill and have attached it to the parcel simply call the toll free number 1-888-645-9494 and Ship-It Express will arrange to have it picked up or advise you of the nearest dealer where you can drop it off to. All business addresses will be picked up. Parcel Delivery All business addresses will be delivered directly. Residential deliveries will be made to the door unless there is a Ship-It Express terminal or dealer within the area. Customers are required to pick up their parcels at our locations in the event that there is a Ship-It Express terminal or dealer. Fragile Stickers Any shipments that are fragile must have a Ship-It Express Fragile sticker attached. The large sticker is attached to the box and the smaller sticker to the waybill. Insurance All parcels are insured up to $100 against loss or damage. If additional insurance is required then it must be purchased. There are two different types of insurance, Loss Insurance and Damage/Loss Insurance. Loss Insurance insures against loss only and may be purchased in increments of $100. To add coverage against loss simply purchases the desired amount of ‘Loss Insurance’ stickers. If you need $200 worth of loss insurance simply purchase one sticker. If you needed $300 worth of loss insurance you would purchase two stickers and so on. Apply the larger of the two stickers on the box and the smaller sticker on the front of your waybill. Damage/Loss Insurance, insures against damage and loss and may be purchased in increments of $100. To add coverage against damage and loss simply purchase the desired amount of ‘Damage/Loss Insurance’ stickers. If you need $200 worth of damage/loss insurance simply purchase one sticker. If you needed $300 worth of damage/loss insurance you would purchase two stickers and so on. Apply the larger of the two stickers on the box and the smaller sticker on the front of your waybill. Please Note: All parcels must have Ship-It Express Fragile Stickers applied to them for the Damage/Loss Insurance to be in effect.
