Made with corrosion-resistant resins, the hand-laid fiberglass lamps are UL-listed for wet conditions. The secret lies in using space age resins to form lamp bases made from fiberglass. This is a very versatile materila that can be fashioned into the most delicate designs; yet it will not rust, rot or corrode. It can even resist high impact force.

The wide variety of colors are UV treated to resist the sun's fading rays. The shade frames are made with galvanized steel to protect the shad's shape for the extensive life of the product. Electrostatic coating is added to the frames to protect against rust. All electric parts are made with components specially designed for long and safe use in wind and rain. They are UL approved for wet conditions! These lamps are truly designed and manufactured to withstand all the rigors of outdoor use.

  • These lamps are engineered to withstand the rigors of outdoor use and can be safely left on even in the rain. It makes a very impressive visual to see the lamps illuminated in the rain. Also, the lamps can be washed by turning the hose on them. This too is visually astonishing and demonstrates how the lamps are easy to clean.
  • The popular stone texture of the Column Lamp bases is detailed enough to be seen on camera. Touching the lamp always generates a comment about how it feels like real stone. And, viewers will be delighted by the fact that fiberglass does not rot, corrode or rust and never looks cheap like plastic.
  • When changing the light bulb, the globe on the Column Lamps and the Global Swan is designed to be easily removed and replaced. Threads are molded into the globe's footing so that a simple twist of the globe screws it on and off the lamp base. No little thumb screws!
  • The clever wind resistant design of the shades is impressive and can be easily demonstrated by showing how the fabric strips separate to allow the wind to pass right through the shade.
  • The shades look like silk and are styled with traditional gathered look used with the most elegant indoor lamp styles. People are always surprised and amazed when they discover the shades are made from easy-to-maintain vinyl.
  • The fiberglass lamp bases have a rubber plug under the bottom surface. This plug can be removed to fill the hollow base with sand or gravel to increase the lamp's weight and resistance to wind.

  • The light sockets are unusual because they are made from ceramic which does not rust of corrode. (The unique features of the sockets are visually apparent.)
