Comments = I want to sell my business and are looking at different ways to get the word out. Business is Colortron Service in Victoria B.C. a warranty approved repair depot for several T.V. manufactures. Wednesdays are the best time to find me in the office.

Paid in full until sold or Bruce tells us to remove.

Asking $30,000

Deb,

These are the Value Points I want you to put at the top. Bruce may amend my points as I will cc him on this.

Bruce will also go to the form below and fill in the relevant information and forward to us.

(1) This business has been around for 30 years or more. The name and phone number are known by thousands of satisfied customers and their friends. The name recognition and phone # would be worth the asking price just in advertising value.

(2) Good steady yearly cash flow.

(3) Established manufacturers warranty centre for:

RCA

Toshiba

Samsung

Phillips

(4) Great downtown location with 2 parking stalls in the back. Easy free street parking for customers. Sweetheart lease at $800.00 per month for 1600 square feet of space. All inclusive. Renter pays heat, light and telephone.

(5) $10,000.00 in stock and equipment.

(7) It would be reasonable to assume that a hardworking knowledgeable person could pay for this business in much less than 1 year.

(8) All this adds up to great value.

We will work with you to establish a website showing buyers where the value exists in the business you are selling.

Selling a business consists of two things:

(1)   Reach the marketplace of buyers.

(2)   Show your buyers the value of your offering.

A buyer has to see value in the offering before they will contact you the seller.

The process is simple; lots of info and pictures.

Go to http://www.pin.ca/form/formbusiness.php our online form.

Fill out what is relevant. The info you send will upload to Debby Schlutter our chief design person. deb@pin.ca 250 744 3558

You need to show value. This has to be presented showing where the value is located and why.

Take the time and work with Debby to make sure this is as perfect as possible with “value” clearly displayed.

One thing I can guarantee you.

Your buyer is reading a newspaper with our advertising in it.

We can make it easy for them to find you.

My system works but you must get people to see the value in what you are offering.

(Make sure you get us the right pictures and information so people see value)

I have a client in Alberta who has a 31 room motel advertised on my site.

http://www.pin.ca/alberta/05-1111/default.htm  (you can look it up on the Internet)

(Price $1 Million Dollars with gross sales over $350,000.00 per year).

She had been advertising with a real estate agent for a year and had no bites at all. She started with us in the middle of November.

People saw value in her Million Dollar motel with gross of $350,000.00 as she has been averaging almost 2 inquires a day.

January 16th she called and said she had a $100,000.00 deposit with a deal supposed to close in 90 days.

The key here is value. She is offering value and she is getting tremendous response.

Sales in the last 60 days include

Cottonwood Golf Course in Winnipeg  Asking price was 1.7 Million

Foam Lake Husky  priced at $425,000

Big Cove Resort priced at $750,000

Mountain Aire Lodge priced at 1.3 Million

Consort Foods priced at $550,000

Woodridge Store priced at $450,000

St.Rose Inn/Chicken Chef asking 1.4 million

La Vista Motel  (sold for second time off pin.ca)

And of course a bunch of smaller sales.

For reference:

1) Maria Manna. We found a Toronto area buyer for Maria Manna Life Spa. Maria Manna’s Cellular is 250 686 6676

Maria actually had people fly in from Florida to view.

2) We also found the buyer for a hair salon owned by her friend, (Bella Hair Salon) Judy Burgess Phone = 250-883-3313

3) You could also call Marion Clare. Her home # is (250) 995 - 1448

Marion sold both of her local businesses thru us: (they were a tough sell and it took over 2 years)

Wedding and Dreams (wedding planning business)

Illusions and Themes (event business)

4) The Pantry Restaurant on Douglas Street sold a couple of months ago off our site. The old owner’s name is  Iain MacArthur (250) 216-5757 connieand487@aol.com   Ian got a terrific deal. He took advantage of our half price offer and paid everything upfront. The Pantry sale took about 16 months.

5) Sue 474 4434 from Adrian’s Hair Designs just called me October 18th and said she was sending a cheque. Sue’s was a very small business but it sold to a fellow from Toronto. This sale took about 3 months.

(6) Update November 1, 2005 - Alan Farness from Maple Leaf Gifts Victoria, BC listed with us week of October 26th  and had response from California, Toronto and Regina in week 1 (See email at bottom of page)

(7) Update November 4, 2005 Watermaster Spas/Pools/Pumps/Wastewater Treatment Systems in Sechelt was sold. It took 9 months and the owner said they had many calls from Ontario and Alberta.

Our visibility is growing all the time as we are constantly buying more media. The clients we dealt with 2 years ago are getting much more promotion now than when they signed on with us. We have consistently delivered more exposure in each of the past 8 years and we expect to continue that pattern over the next 8 years.

So far we have $180,000.00 in radio advertising in 2005. (30K of this is in US)

YOU CAN VIEW OUR STATS ONLINE WWW.PIN.CA/STATS

OUR INFORMATION IS ON MULTIPLE SERVERS SO AT THE END OF EACH MONTH THEY HAVE TO TAKE THE STATS OFF THE VARIOUS SERVERS AND PUT TOGETHER TO FIND THE REAL NUMBERS. CURRENT MONTH STATS ARE ALWAYS OUT OF WHACK BUT THE PREVIOUS ARE CORRECT.

YOU WILL NOTICE WE ARE NOW GETTING OVER 3,000 INDIVIDUAL USERS PER DAY.

Most of what we deal with is businesses for sale and business opportunities/franchises, exposing projects which need funding.

2) PERCEIVED VALUE - The marketplace is not foolish. No matter how much advertising I do, the asking price and the words and pictures of your presentation on my site have to convey a value equal to your asking price. The prospective buyer views the pictures and reads the words. If they think the value is not there, you will get no response. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE TO PRICE YOUR OFFERING CORRECTLY.

We reach the marketplace. We have interested buyers looking on our website.

When you advertise with us one of 2 things will happen.

A) Your offering is of interest to the marketplace at the price you are asking and the marketplace responds.

OR

B) The marketplace may look at your offering and decide they are not interested in contacting you as they don't perceive value at the price you are asking.

3) NEGOTIATING - We are not real estate agents and we do not negotiate for you. Our job should you choose to engage us will be to advertise your opportunity to the marketplace which we do very well. If you should need help with presenting your business or explaining the value of your business, I suggest having your accountant or lawyer work with you on this aspect. FINDING A BUYER IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF SELLING but you must also have a plan for dealing with the buyer.

We extend credit to you and allow you to pay us the advertising fee from proceeds of sale. All we require is that we can ensure payment as we spend hundreds of thousands in advertising each year and have to be able to recoup those expenditures. Our advertising fee is set at the start and is not dependent upon any particular sale/price being achieved.

We have been at this for 7 years. Our growth rate increases each year. We work on a “gather and funnel” principle. We attract/gather the opportunity seeker as they look thru the USA Today, Globe and Mail, Vancouver Sun, Calgary Herald, Edmonton Journal, Winnipeg Free Press, Business in Vancouver, Western Investor Etc. We attract/gather the opportunity seeker as they find us thru the papers, television or the search engines. Once they find us we funnel them into our listings on the Pin Website.

You will find we are at or very near the top on hundreds if not thousands of searches on Google and other search engine searches. Once someone finds our website they generally return as we have earned their respect and have real opportunities available for every size and taste.
