In order to provide
you with the best set of bass strings possible, we require some
information from you. For us to know the specifics on your strings
you will need to do one of three things:
- Send us your old strings.
- Please cut off the tuning pin
coils and tell us how many singles, bi-chords, tenor bi-chords
(if any), and tri-chords.
- Send us a pattern you make
(rubbing).
- For grand pianos, please
remove dampers (if possible) when making your pattern. We
know it's extra work, but it makes the precision that much
easier to achieve.
- Please send us the lowest and
highest string on the bass bridge. This is not needed when
dampers are removed for making the pattern.
- Please tell us the wire size
and speaking length of the lowest, plain-wire note. This
helps us to give your piano a smoother bass/tenor break.
- Let us know the number of
singles, bi-chords, tenor bi-chords (if any), and tri-chords.
- On the pattern we need:
Hitch Pins, Two Lines of Bridge Pins and Agraffes. Please
be sure to count the hitch pins on the plate and on the pattern
to ensure they are all clearly visible.
- USE HEAVY CRAFT PAPER IF
POSSIBLE.
- Send us the Measurements (we
prefer measurements in inches)
- number of single notes.
- number of bi-chord notes.
- number of tenor wound notes
(if any).
- number of tri-chord wound
notes (if any).
- for each string - from hitch
pin to speaking length bridge pin.
- for each string - from
speaking length bridge pin to agraffe.
- wire diameter and speaking
length for lowest plain wire note.
- THESE MEASUREMENTS CAN BE
FAXED, ALONG WITH YOUR PHONE NUMBER, EMAIL, AND MAILING ADDRESS
TO (416) 229-4231.
- If you prefer to make up your own
scale for your
Isaac Profundo Bass Strings we will require the following:
- core wire size (mills
preferred)
- outside diameter
- Isaac Profundo unichord
strings are usually double wrapped. If you prefer single
wrapped unichord strings, please let us know.

we stock is 0.085" (2.15mm)
